Torino boss Mihajlovic wants Hart to stay

When it comes to Torino's shot-stopping situation, the mid-table Serie A side doesn't want to have a change of Hart.

At least Il Toro manager Sinisa Mihajlovic doesn't, as the former free-kick specialist hopes on-loan Manchester City 'keeper Joe Hart will stay at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

The England international's loan is set to expire in the summer. With his future at Manchester City no more certain than when he made the Serie A switch in light of the two-pronged efforts of Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero, Hart's career appears in limbo.

Mihajlovic would like to fix that, though Torino's financial limitations and Hart's lofty wages could make that difficult.

"I would like Hart to stay at Torino, but we know - the club and him too - that we can't buy him," Mihajlovic conceded during a recent news conference, according to ESPN FC's Ben Gladwell. "At the most, we can take him on loan for another year, but it depends on what Manchester City want to do and what he wants too."

Despite an erratic 29 Serie A appearances in his maiden campaign with Torino, Hart has become a favourite of fans and Mihajlovic alike. His Manchester City contract is set to expire in 2019, and Hart's next season is uncertain, prompting Mihajlovic's desire to secure the Shrewsbury-born shot-stopper's services for a second year.

"We would like to know this soon because if we have Hart here next year then that is one thing, but if not we have to make other plans," Mihajlovic said. "Torino can only take him on loan for another year so it is up to City to decide, but we need a decision quickly so we can plan the future."
