Sergio Romero will get the start Sunday after David De Gea was ruled out of Manchester United's encounter with Sunderland because of a "small problem," according to manager Jose Mouriho.

Mourinho did not reveal the exact nature of the injury, but confirmed that he doesn't believe De Gea will miss an extended period.

"David has a little problem and has not travelled and normally Sergio plays in the Europa League and the Europa League is next Thursday, so not bad for him at all to have a match for him before then," Mourinho told reporters, courtesy of Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News.

"No (it's not a long-term injury), I believe he'll be ready for the next match."

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba was inserted back into the starting XI after recovering from a hamstring knock. Out-of-favour left-back Luke Shaw was also included as a starter for just the eighth time this season.
