The long-awaited Premier League tilt between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium has been scheduled for Thursday April 27 at 8 p.m. GMT (3 p.m. ET).

The rivals' bout was originally slated for Feb. 26, but United's involvement in the League Cup final meant a new date had to be jostled into the calendar around the respective clubs' continental and domestic commitments.

United handler Jose Mourinho has been vocal in his dismay at his side's busy fixture list for the remainder of the season, and his fears have now been realised with nine competitive outings in the 30 days of April.

Both City and United will play the following Sunday, with the former travelling to Middlesbrough and the latter entertaining Swansea City at Old Trafford.

City has the upper hand in recent league meetings, winning four of the last six clashes in Eastlands and also taking three points from Stretford last September in a 2-1 win.
