Aguero, Sterling star in City's walkover of Huddersfield

The media furor surrounding Sergio Aguero's supposedly shaky future at Manchester City seems all but silenced after the Argentinian inspired a 5-1 trouncing of Huddersfield Town in Wednesday's FA Cup fifth-round replay.

Ex-City youth teamer Harry Bunn opened scoring for the Terriers - thanks to some more calamitous goalkeeping from Claudio Bravo - and it arguably took three missed penalty calls to rouse City's attack to action.

The strong side Guardiola deployed - only youngster Aleix Garcia was a surprise inclusion - indicates the importance he's placed on the FA Cup as an opportunity to plunder some silverware in his debut season in England. City faces a trip to Middlesbrough in the quarter-finals.

David Wagner, meanwhile, made nine changes to his Huddersfield ranks as he prepares for a promotion-chasing encounter with Newcastle United in Saturday's Championship fixtures.
