Look: Villas-Boas posts photo with Sir Bobby Robson ahead of 300th game

Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas marked the countdown toward his 300th match in charge as a manager with a picture of his mentor, Sir Bobby Robson.

Villas-Boas - who was named manager of Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG in November - is pictured alongside the famous English manager on a bench as the two stare at a magazine inside what looks to be an airport.

A message on Instagram read: "As I approach 300 games (vs Guangzhou 01.04.2017) I will be releasing a different photo everyday as a countdown leading up to that game. This is how it all started with Sir Bobby Robson! Hope you all enjoy."

Although there's no date assigned to the photo, it's probably safe to assume that the photo was taken when Robson was charge of FC Porto between 1994-96 and appointed Villas-Boas to the team's observation department as a 16-year-old.
