The Huddersfield manager's box will be empty during Wednesday's FA Cup tie against Manchester City after David Wagner was handed a two-match touchline ban stemming from a dispute with Leeds United gaffer Garry Monk - who received a one-match touchline ban - earlier this month.

In a statement, Football Association determined that Wagner, who was also fined £6,000, was guilty of improper conduct after entering the field of play before getting into a dispute with Monk upon his return to the technical area.

Mr Wagner admitted entering the field of play in or around the 89th minute, in contravention of FA Rule E3, but denied a further breach that his behaviour upon his return to the vicinity of the technical area amounted to improper conduct.

However, this breach was found proven following an independent regulatory commission hearing.

Wagner was found guilty of running onto the pitch to celebrate Huddersfield's late goal which secured three points against its Championship rival Leeds on Feb. 5.

A melee between players and coaching staff ensued on the touchline when Monk took exception to the stunt and shoved Wagner as he ran back to his designated area.

The ruling will see Wagner miss Huddersfield's match against City, as well as a league match against Newcastle United on Saturday,

Meanwhile, Monk will have to watch Leeds from the stands during Friday's Championship match against Birmingham City.
