Mahrez thanks Ranieri 'for everything' after controversial sacking
Riyad Mahrez has joined Shinji Okazaki and Kasper Schmeichel in voicing his appreciation for Claudio Ranieri, who was unceremoniously sacked by Leicester City on Thursday.

Reports have heightened of a player revolt in the east Midlands which led to Ranieri's firing just nine months after the Italian led his written-off throng to an unexpected Premier League title. Mahrez has now perhaps distanced himself from those stories by thanking his old boss in a series of tweets.
From last season's heroics, Mahrez's productivity has taken a significant downturn. In 2015-16, the Algerian international scored 17 and laid on 11 assists, but currently has three goals and two assists to his name in the current campaign.
