Report: City's Jesus travels to Barcelona for treatment on foot
Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus is off to Barcelona to receive treatment on his injured foot, after being diagnosed with a fractured metatarsal shortly after limping off the pitch against Bournemouth on Monday.
According to ESPN FC's Jonathan Smith, Jesus will visit Dr. Ramon Cugat's clinic to receive treatment and likely undergo further examinations to discover the extent of the damage. Reports suggested the injury would force him to miss up to three months.
Dr. Cugat, who's reportedly a favourite of former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, previously tended to injured City players Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne, Fabian Delph, and Ilkay Gundogan earlier this season.
The injury came just four matches into Jesus' career in England, as the Brazilian, who completed a reported £27-million move from Palmeiras in January, impressed during the opening matches with City.
Jesus was given the nod ahead of forward Sergio Aguero, and went on to find the back of the net three times in three Premier League matches.
