Conte: I'm experienced enough to deal with Mourinho's mind games
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was in no mood to respond to comments made by his predecessor Jose Mourinho after the Italian tactician saw his side held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley at Turf Moor.
Mourinho, now at the helm of Manchester United, credited Chelsea's defensive style of play as the driving factor of the team's 10-point lead atop the Premier League table - then pondered why others are being praised for tactics similar to the ones he was criticised for using when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Despite questioning the sudden appreciation of defensive football, Mourinho went on to back Chelsea to win the Premier League title, but did so with his usual candor, leaving Conte largely unwilling to respond.
"I don't like to reply to the other coaches,'' Conte said, when asked of Mourinho's comments, according to ESPN FC's Liam Twomey. "I don't like this joking. He's playing. I have the experience to understand this. ...
"If someone thinks this league is finished, for me I can tell you no. There are six teams for me that can win the league. Anything can happen. We must continue to work in this way, to try to find a way to win in the same way that we tried today."
