Report: Conte, Costa to hold talks Tuesday at Chelsea's training ground

The quandary over Diego Costa's future at Chelsea could be resolved Tuesday.

Manager Antonio Conte is expected to hold talks with Costa at the team's training ground, according to Sky Sports, in an apparent attempt to determine whether the Spanish international is willing to continue on at Stamford Bridge after reportedly becoming unsettled at Chelsea.

Costa's unrest has been triggered by reported interest from Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian, which allegedly led to an altercation with Conte in the days leading up to Chelsea's victory over Leicester City on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was left out of the squad, but Conte insisted Costa was dealing with a back injury.

However, it's understood that a contract worth £30-million per year has been tabled by Tianjin Quanjian. In response, Costa's representatives have purportedly demanded Chelsea increase his weekly wages to £300,000.

Regardless of the outcome Tuesday at Cobham, a deal will likely have to wait until the summer, as Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to be unwilling to sell his team's leading scorer during the January transfer window.

Costa - who has two and a half years remaining on his contract - currently sits in a tie for first place with Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal in the Premier League scoring race with 14 goals in 19 matches.
