Pochettino: Kane, Lloris not leaving Spurs any time soon

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris aren't seeking moves away from White Hart Lane.

Amid a rash of new contracts for Tottenham's young core, Kane and Lloris remain elusive in chairman Daniel Levy's quest to keep away the transfer vultures.

The France goalkeeper and England striker have deals until 2019 and 2020, respectively, giving Pochettino no reason to fear about their immediate future.

"They have current contracts and they are very happy. That is the most important thing," the Argentine boss told reporters Thursday. "Maybe there are a lot of rumours that can affect our fans, but the fans need have no worries about this because the players show their commitment to the club - they want to be here for the long term."

The Telegraph's Matt Law reported earlier in the week that Kane is seeking a weekly wage starting at £120,000 - a potential stumbling block for a club that's trying to keep players' seven-day salary below the six-figure mark.

Lloris is currently Spurs' highest earner on £80,000 a week, according to Law.

The figures are well below par for players of such high stature in the Premier League, with Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, and Leicester City's Jamie Vardy all pulling in significantly more than what Kane pockets.

The 23-year-old won last season's Golden Boot, overcoming an early drought before banging in 25 league goals.

Eight Tottenham players have re-committed to the north London outfit over the past few months.
