Klopp praises 'brilliant' Sturridge after victory over Tottenham
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave Daniel Sturridge a rare opportunity to play from the opening whistle on Tuesday, and the oft-injured Englishman delivered.
The striker found the net twice in the fourth-round EFL Cup clash with Tottenham, lifting the Reds to a 2-1 victory and booking them a spot in the quarter-finals of a competition they came painstakingly close to winning last season.

Speaking after the match, affable gaffer Klopp was overjoyed with Sturridge's showing at Anfield.
"Daniel was brilliant, he could have scored three or four but he was really good. He showed it again," Klopp was quoted as saying by ESPN FC.
Sturridge, meanwhile, highlighted his faith when discussing his ability to bounce back from his checkered injury history.
"We had a lot of chances, played good football, we deserved it in the end," Sturridge said.
He added: "It's a nice feeling, I'm grateful for God for helping me through all the things I've gone through. I'm happy tonight."
