Terry, Ivanovic fit for West Ham clash

Antonio Conte is able to select John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic from the first whistle for Chelsea's potentially tetchy encounter with West Ham United on Wednesday.

Terry was an unused substitute in Chelsea's 4-0 trouncing of Manchester United on Sunday after overcoming an ankle issue, while Ivanovic has been out of the matchday squad for the past two games with a knock.

"(Terry's) fit to start. He's in a good shape. Tomorrow I'll decide the starting XI, but John is fit. He trained very well this week, last week, and he's ready," Conte told ESPN FC's Liam Twomey of his options for the EFL Cup clash.

"For Ivanovic, he's better. He started to train with us yesterday, also today, but it's normal after an injury he needs a bit of time to find the right shape to come back with our squad."

Cesc Fabregas is still not in training while he deals with a quad problem, but Willian, who was introduced as a substitute at the weekend upon returning from compassionate leave after the death of his mother, is in a "good moment now" and ready to kick on for the rest of the campaign.

The return of Kurt Zouma, meanwhile, who has been sidelined since February with a cruciate ligament rupture, continues to be a drawn-out affair; but there is a light at the end of tunnel for the young centre-half.

"I'm pleased for this because Zouma is a young player but he's a good player, and I hope to see him very soon," Conte said.

"Very soon for me is when we start the training sessions after West Ham. I hope to see him work with us but I'm very happy that he played a little yesterday (in an Under-23 match). He had a good answer in the physical aspect after the game."
