Where are they now? Chelsea vs. United, 2011 FA Youth Cup semi-final

The youth academies of Chelsea and Manchester United are among the most criticised in English football, but for wholly different reasons.

The Blues are a hotbed of young talent, winning five of the last seven FA Youth Cup titles, but with the exception of the brief auditions of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ola Aina against Leicester City last week, there is a little evidence their achievements in the senior squad. In fact, it's scarce since John Terry made his debut in 1998.

United, on the other hand, has a fine tradition of promoting players through the ranks, but has seen a downturn in recent years. Coaches have come and gone and former players such as Phil Neville, Darren Fletcher, and Robin van Persie elected to send their kids to Manchester City instead.

Considering these clubs' dubious credentials in this vital aspect, how have the players fared since Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-2 in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final in 2011?

What happened next?

United trampled the one-goal deficit in the second leg, winning 4-0 thanks to a Will Keane hat trick and a deflected shot from the returning Morrison, the talented yet troubled midfielder currently with Lazio.

The Red Devils' youngsters then collected silverware in the final, beating Sheffield United 6-3 over two legs, with the goals again coming courtesy of Will Keane and Morrison.
