Agent: Yaya Toure being humiliated by Pep

Upstaged this summer by the outspoken Mino Raiola, football agent Dimitri Seluk is doing his best to return to the forefront.

Judging by his recent comments, he seems to be adopting Raiola's aggressive tactics.

After the Italian-born Dutchman lashed out at Jurgen Klopp for his treatment of Mario Balotelli earlier in the week, Seluk is going a similar route, scolding another high-profile bench boss.

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, Seluk says Pep Guardiola is humiliating his client, Yaya Toure, by leaving the decorated Ivorian off Manchester City's Champions League squad.

The Spanish tactician was forced to drop one of his foreign players for the continent's showpiece tournament, as UEFA rules stipulate a club may only carry 17 squad members who are not "locally-trained" or "association-trained."

Toure, the 33-year-old who has been on the wane as his legs grow ever slower, didn't make the cut for the star-studded Citizens.

It seemed a logical choice, given Guardiola's preferred style and system, but Seluk is crying foul.

"If he wins the Champions League for City this season then I will travel to England and I will say on television that Pep Guardiola is the best manager in the world," Seluk said.

"But if City don't win the Champions League then I hope that Pep has got the balls to say that he was wrong to humiliate a great player like Yaya. This is Pep's decision and we must respect it. Yaya is a professional and so he will do everything he is asked to do."

Toure's future has been in doubt ever since the arrival of Guardiola, but Seluk added that his client will not depart the Etihad in search of minutes elsewhere.

"But what I can tell you is that Yaya will spend the season at City. He will not be leaving in January. He hopes that he will get the chance to prove himself."
