The great offloading continues at Manchester City.

The Citizens announced Wednesday that midfielder Samir Nasri has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan, the Frenchman following both Joe Hart and Wilfried Bony out the door on deadline day.

Nasri, who enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at the Etihad since making the move to the club in 2011, has 27 goals to his name as a member of City.

The 29-year-old has been hampered by injuries and waning form in recent years, and while manager Pep Guardiola said recently that he would garner playing time in 2016-17, Nasri has instead decided his career is better served at the Sanchez Pizjuan this season.

His move adds to an already crowded midfield in Seville, as new boss Jorge Sampaoli will need to placate the likes of Franco Vazquez, Hiroshi Kiyotake, Paulo Henrique Ganso, Joaquin Correa, and Pablo Sarabia - all of whom can play in similar attacking positions to the club's latest signing.
