10 players in desperate need of a change of scenery

Regardless of the good intentions and optimism that generally comes with a new arrival - remember when Tottenham fans were actually happy to have Roberto Soldado on the team? - sometimes things just inexplicably don't work.

The same goes for the lads who storm through the youth ranks and find success at the senior level before inevitable growing pains stunt their careers.

No matter the path in which a player wins the hearts of supporters before ultimately failing to live up to expectations, a change of scenery has proven successful in the past.

Here's 10 Premier League players who should push for a move away from their respective clubs in order to revive their careers:

Mario Balotelli - Liverpool

The case for Balotelli and his need to find a new home is incomparable.

Luckily for the Balotelli, he's still young - just 26 - but finding a club willing to add the polarizing striker is a challenge Liverpool may struggle to overcome as the transfer window begins its descent towards the Aug. 31 deadline.

Loic Remy - Chelsea

Injuries and Remy's inability to usurp Diego Costa as the preferred option up front resulted in a measly 13 appearances last season. With the odds stacked against him, in terms of making any kind of impact with Chelsea this season, Remy really should be pushing for a move away from Stamford Bridge and prove he can still find the back of the net on a regular basis.

Jack Wilshere - Arsenal

On a team with a plethora of playmakers, perhaps it's time Arsenal considers parting ways with Wilshere, and give him an opportunity to captivate fans with the skill set that's periodically amazed fans in North London. Assuming he's able to keep fit, he would ultimately present one of the great "what if " scenarios if Arsenal offloaded the gifted midfielder.

Juan Mata - Manchester United

Despite being named a starter for United's opening matches, one can't help but think that Mata's place in Jose Mourinho's Manchester United team is in a similar state of uncertainty as the last time the pair worked together at Chelsea. Maybe a move to Liverpool, one of United's biggest rivals, is the only way he can avoid a similar situation if the Portuguese manager ever finds himself out of work again.

Morgan Schneiderlin - Manchester United

After Manchester United's surprise capture of Schneiderlin last summer, the Frenchman struggled to develop into anything more than a role player under Louis van Gaal. Fortunately, Schneiderlin is far from being a lost cause, and should attract plenty of attention if Mourinho decides to offload him.

Wilfried Bony - Manchester City

Playing time has always been an issue since Bony's arrival from Swansea. His inability to bulge the back of the net didn't help as he struggled to prove his case for a starting spot ahead of Sergio Aguero. An escape from the Etihad could come in the form of a loan switch to West Ham before a big-money move to China.

Theo Walcott - Arsenal

Like Wilshere, Walcott has amazed and frustrated Arsenal fans over the years. His potential departure would be especially tough to handle considering the hype that came with his arrival from Southampton in 2006. Unfortunately, injuries have plagued his career, seemingly popping up and interrupting periods where Walcott was displaying the type of style few players can replicate as his combination of speed and vision wreaked havoc on back lines.

Heung-Min Son - Tottenham

A move away from White Hart Lane seems inevitable just a year after Son's £22-million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen. His failure to make an impact during his debut season, and Vincent Janssen's arrival as an alternate option to Harry Kane up front, could see the South Korean move back to Germany as Wolfsburg considers a move for the striker.

Joe Hart - Manchester City

Manchester City supporters can be forgiven if they're a little baffled by Hart's dwindling career at the club he's called home for a decade. But, as Pep Guardiola continues to be unsatisfied with what the Englishman has to offer and Claudio Bravo's impending arrival, Hart's career at the Etihad Stadium is as good as done. However, there shouldn't be a lack of suitors lining up to take Hart off City's hands.
