Alex Tettey will continue to fluctuate between playing in the Premier League and in the Championship.

Tettey signed a new two-year contract with Norwich City on Friday, committing his future to the Canaries until the summer of 2018.

After joining Norwich from Stade Rennais in 2012, Tettey didn't abandon the Canaries when they were relegated in 2014 and helped them return to the Premier League the following year. With the Canaries suffering relegation once again last season, the Norwegian midfielder is hoping to get the club back in the top flight of English football.

"Norwich have put trust and faith in me since I've been here, which is really good," Tettey said. "It's a massive season for us and hopefully we can go on to do well. I'm going to give everything I can to help us get back in the Premier League. It's a huge task and I'm very happy to be part of it."

Tettey boasts six goals and 113 appearances for Norwich in all competitions.
