Palmeiras' bulldozing forward Gabriel Jesus has admitted he's on the verge of leaving the club, heightening speculation of a widely tipped transfer to Manchester City.

The 19-year-old is currently with the Brazil squad ahead of its Rio 2016 campaign, and is desperate to retain focus on his international commitments amid further reported interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus.

"My future is almost decided," he said at a press conference ahead of the Canarinho's Olympic kick-off against South Africa on Aug. 4.

"My family, my representatives, and Palmeiras know where I want to go but now I'm totally focused on winning gold for my country. The agreement is almost done but I'm completely concentrated here."

While he undergoes training with the likes of Neymar, Marquinhos, and Rafinha, Jesus has left those working behind the scenes to broker what appears to be a shift to northwest England.

"Before I came here I was in negotiations but now that I'm here I'm leaving it to my parents and my agents. Before long my decision will be known."

Jesus, who grabbed 19 strikes in 31 matches for Palmeiras last year, could be joined by another considerable South American talent at City in Colombia wunderkind Marlos Moreno.
