Report: Liverpool accepts £13M bid from Stoke City for Joe Allen

Liverpool has reportedly accepted a £13-million bid from Stoke City for Wales midfielder Joe Allen, according to Sky Sports.

Allen joined the Reds in 2012, but has not established himself as a starter under both Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp, making just eight starts and largely coming off the bench in the last three seasons.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes is in the market for midfield reinforcements as Stephen Ireland is dealing with a broken leg and Ibrahim Afellay has a long-term knee injury.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the 2016-17 season, Klopp says he is evaluating Allen's future at Anfield.

"Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team," Klopp said, as quoted by Sky Sports. "We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That's how it works."
