Sakho's failed drug test hearing scheduled for July

A hearing for a failed drug test from Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been scheduled for July, though no specific date has been set quite yet, the Press Association reports.

The French defender tested positive for a fat-burning substance following a Europa League match against Manchester United in March and was given a comprehensive 30-day ban for deciding not to have a second sample tested.

The ban expired at the end of May and UEFA began an investigation into whether the substance Sakho had allegedly taken should even be on the prohibited list.

The 26-year-old submitted his version of the situation to UEFA's disciplinary committee last month.

As a result of ongoing investigations, Sakho was left off the France roster for Euro 2016.
