Report: United in talks to sign Villarreal's Bailly

Manchester United has reportedly joined the race to sign defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal.

United has begun negotiating with the Spanish side over a transfer fee that could rise as high as £30 million considering there's multiple teams circling Estadio El Madrigal in hopes of securing the 22-year-old's signature, sources revealed to Sky Sports.

Manchester City, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain have also reportedly expressed an interest in the Ivory Coast international.

The transfer fee could rise even higher depending on the desire among the four teams to acquire the centre-back, who has won 14 caps with the Ivory Coast since making his debut in January 2015.

Bailly appeared in 25 matches for the Spanish club last season.
