Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified Juan Mata and Daley Blind as players who may not have a place in his Manchester United team heading into the 2016-17 campaign.

United will attempt to sell the pair this summer as Mourinho looks to reshuffle the squad ahead of his first season in charge at Old Trafford, according to Peter O'Rourke of ESPN FC, citing sources.

Mata's possible departure would mark the second time the Portuguese boss has sold the talented midfielder.

Mourinho, who replaced Louis van Gaal as manager shortly after United won the FA Cup, shipped off Mata to United in Jan. 2014 shortly after the beginning of his second stint at Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Blind could be sent packing as Mourihno searches for a central defender to pair with Chris Smalling at the back, with Everton youngster John Stones reportedly leading the list of candidates, according to ESPN FC's Miguel Delaney.

The future of Phil Jones, however, has not been addressed after the centre-back only managed to make 10 league appearances during an injury-plagued 2015-16 season.
