Jose Mourinho has passed on his congratulations to Leicester City and manager Claudio Ranieri after their improbable title triumph was confirmed Monday by Tottenham Hotspur's 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

The Portuguese could be forgiven for being a little bitter towards Ranieri and the Foxes as their 2-1 win over Chelsea on Dec. 14 spelled the end of his second stint at the Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho hasn't been the most complimentary of the Italian manager in the past either, mocking Ranieri for being "too old to change his mentality" and what he perceived as a lacking grasp of the English language.

This time, however, it appears Mourinho is graceful in relinquishing his Premier League title to Leicester and the man he succeeded at Chelsea in 2004.

"I want to congratulate everyone connected to Leicester; players, staff, owners, and fans," he told CAA Sports.

"I lost my title to Claudio Ranieri and it is with incredible emotion that I live this magic moment in his career."

Leicester skipper Wes Morgan will show off the trophy for the first time in front of fans at the King Power Stadium on Saturday when Everton visits.
