Watch: English clubs honour victims following Hillsborough verdict

Whether it was a rendition of Liverpool's famous prematch song, or a minute's applause, Saturday's fixtures in England featured various tributes to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster and their families after Tuesday's monumental verdict.

Goodison Park was the sight of an emotional minute's applause as Liverpool's biggest rivals, Everton, and its fans produced a memorable ovation for representatives of Hillsborough families during a prematch ceremony:

Everton players also sported shirts that read, "Justice & Truth" on the front, with the number 96 printed on the back.

The scenes were replicated throughout the country ahead of Saturday's matches, with Watford opting to play "You'll Never Walk Alone" ahead of its encounter with Aston Villa:

Meanwhile, at the sight of the 1989 disaster, Sheffield Wednesday fans gathered around a memorial outside of Hillsborough ahead of the team's match against Cardiff City:
