Rooney makes return to starting lineup after 2-month absence

Wayne Rooney is finally back in the starting lineup.

The Manchester United captain, 30, will start Saturday's contest against Aston Villa, marking the first time the England international has been included in Louis van Gaal's starting XI since he suffered a knee injury on Feb. 13.

With the veteran's return, Anthony Martial drops to the bench.

Much to the dismay of many England fans, his ability to overcome the knee ailment likely assures Rooney of a spot on Roy Hodgson's side for Euro 2016 - assuming he stays fit for the remainder of the campaign.
