Terry, Remy, Matic to miss Chelsea's clash against Swansea

Guus Hiddink will once again field a younger Chelsea squad Saturday at Swansea City, with injuries to John Terry, Loic Remy, and Nemanja Matic forcing the interim manager to rely on more peripheral players.

Terry hasn't fully recovered from an Achilles problem, robbing him of one more game in what is likely to be his final season as captain of the Blues. Remy, who departed early from last weekend's 4-0 win over Aston Villa with a groin issue, has no timetable for his return. And Matic is out with a leg injury, although the Serbian has featured in a full 90-minute game just three times in 12 matches in 2016.

"We have a few injured players so we will bring in some youngsters," Hiddink told reporters Friday.

Bertrand Traore and Alexandre Pato could get another opportunity to prove themselves. Pato converted a penalty on his debut against Villa, while Traore has already managed two Champions League appearances this term.

With Diego Costa also suspended and Eden Hazard still on the sidelines, the options are limited. But Hiddink wouldn't reveal which players would get the start.

"We'll see. We had only a few strikers in December and January because, apart from Diego Costa, they were all injured," said the Dutchman. "Traore wasn't strongly knocking on the door at that time, and now we have strikers who must compete for the position."

Chelsea is currently seven points behind the final Europa League spot, with as many matches remaining in its Premier League season.
