Tiger Woods will reportedly be in Ohio two weeks after the British Open to participate in the Bridgestone Invitational, scheduled for July 31-August 3 at Firestone Country Club in Akron.
Woods, 38, missed significant time early in the season after undergoing spine surgery, but his participation in the Bridgestone Invitational would be a promising sign going forward.
Woods has a long and successful history with the Bridgestone Invitational, winning the tournament for the eighth time in 2013. He set a tournament record in 2000 by finishing 21 under par.
