Wigan, England (Sports Network) - Wigan acquired striker Franco Di Santo from Chelsea and signed him to a three-year contract, and also added midfielder Tom Cleverley on loan from Manchester United on Tuesday.

Di Santo, 21, spent last season on at Blackburn and had one goal in 22 games.

"I am just happy that my future has been sorted out now. I can't wait to start training, meet all my new teammates and start fighting for my place in the team," said Di Santo, an Argentina U-20 international.

Cleverley has been at United since 2005 when he joined the Youth ranks, but is yet to make his senior debut. The 21-year-old England U-21 international spent parts of the 2009 and 2010 seasons on loan at Leicester City and Watford.
