Liverpool's Doni joins Botafogo

Liverpool, England (Sports Network) - Liverpool confirmed Thursday that goalkeeper Alexander Doni has joined Brazilian club Botafogo.

Doni had not featured for Liverpool since the final day of the 2011-12 season when he played against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

The 33-year-old made a total of four first-team appearances for the Reds.
