Tiendalli joins Swansea
Swansea, Wales (Sports Network) - Swansea City signed defender Dwight Tiendalli on a free transfer on Monday to replace the injured Neil Taylor.
Taylor sustained a broken ankle in Swansea's match with Sunderland last week and has been ruled out for the season, leaving manager Michael Laudrup short on defensive options.
The 26-year-old Tiendalli has spent time at Ajax, Utrecht and Feyenoord before a three-year spell with Twente came to an end this summer when he was released from his contract.
Tiendalli joins the Swans on a one-year contract and is expected to be available for the team's match against Aston Villa on Saturday.
