Guzan signs new Villa deal
Birmingham, England (Sports Network) - Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan has signed a new three-year contract with the club after he left Villa Park at the end of last season.
Guzan was unable to come to terms on a new deal at the end of the season, but with a new manager, Paul Lambert, taking charge, the 27-year-old has decided to return to the team.
After joining Villa from Chivas USA in 2008, Guzan has served as the second- choice goalkeeper, but impressed during a brief spell last season while number one netminder Shay Given was out injured.
The United States international appeared in seven league matches for Villa last term and he has been named in Lambert's 25-man squad for Villa's three- match tour of the U.S. this summer.
