Dyer signs new deal with QPR

London, England (Sports Network) - QPR announced on Monday that midfielder Kieron Dyer has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

Dyer played just three minutes all season for the team after breaking his foot in an opening day defeat against Bolton, but he has been handed another chance by manager Mark Hughes, who has also reportedly offered new contracts to Clint Hill, Akos Buzsaky and goalkeeper Radek Cerny.

QPR avoided relegation on the final day of the season despite losing 3-2 at Manchester City, and Hughes has released a handful of players, including Danny Gabbidon, Danny Shittu, Fitz Hall, Gary Borrowdale, Peter Ramage, Lee Cook, Rowan Vine and Patrick Agyemang, in order to reduce to wage bill.
