Argentina's one-man advantage over Chile was quickly nullified after defender Marcos Rojo went in from behind with a tackle on Arturo Vidal as a dramatic first half of action in the Copa America Centenario final came to a close.

Chile, itself reduced to 10 men when Marcelo Diaz picked up two yellow cards, immediately came to Vidal's defense after Rojo's tackle. Referee Heber Lopes was quick to brandish a red card to the egregious party as a result.

The two teams went into the locker rooms tied 0-0 but each down to 10 men, which will certainly help open up space in an otherwise narrow pitch at MetLife Stadium.

As expected, the red card drew some ire:

(How you have ruined this match, punk!)
