Barcelona goal-machine Luis Suarez has confirmed that he will have a scan Monday for an apparent hamstring injury suffered during Sunday's 2-0 Copa del Rey final victory over Sevilla.

Uruguayan fans will await the results of the tests with bated breath, as the Copa American Centenario kicks off in two weeks, with 15-time winners Los Charruas facing Mexico on June 5 in Group C play.

The 59-goal striker took to Twitter hours after Barcelona's record 28th Copa win, and the former Liverpool man conceded that he will have a scan in hopes of being in Oscar Tabarez's squad.

The tweet translates to, "Now to await tests tomorrow. I hope it's nothing and can be with my selection next week. Thanks for the support!!!!"

A competitor whose killer instinct on the pitch often takes priority over better judgment (see: biting people), Suarez was in tears as he sat on the Barcelona bench after being subbed off for Rafinha.
