Nasri on PSG's dominance: 'I'd like to see Paris play a Monday night at Stoke'

Samir Nasri doesn't think Paris Saint-Germain's dominance in France could be repeated if the club was based in England.

The Manchester City midfielder took exception with PSG getting compared to Barcelona, and feels the runaway French champions would struggle with a number of teams he feels are superior to opponents in Ligue 1.

Nasri, speaking ahead of City's clash with PSG in the first of the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, cited the evolving landscape in England as the primary difference between the Premier League and France's top flight.

"It's true they have a big team, but I do not think they are above the others in England.

"There are no easy games in England, not one. I'd like to see Paris play a Monday night at Stoke, West Ham or at the Emirates against Arsenal.

"Today, the big four is no more. There are six or seven teams who can be champions. It's harder. But this is Paris, not Barca."

However, Nasri, who made his return from injury Saturday after being sidelined for more than five months, acknowledged City's label as underdogs heading into the contest.

"'Yes, PSG are favourites because we have a lot of injuries. We will sadly not be complete (as a squad)," he said.
