VIDEO: Fans of Polish team Lech Poznan ignite stands with high-voltage display
Fans of Polish champions Lech Poznan put on a display Wednesday best described as a pyromaniac's dream.
"High-risk supporters" filled out one side of the stands at the INEA Stadion in Poland during their side's Champions League qualifying match against Swiss outfit FC Basel, and lit a massive number of flares in an effort to intimidate the opposition.
The fans cleverly used flares to light up a giant painted banner, which featured a warning sign labeled "Danger: High Voltage" on one side. Then, the banner split down the middle as black smoke filled the air.
It was a valiant effort, but Basel walked away 3-1 winners on the day. UEFA won't be happy with Poznan supporters, and the team will probably be slapped with a small fine.
