PHOTO: Rio Ferdinand corrects Hulk Hogan and calls out disloyal Drake

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has thrown down his social media gloves, calling out rap artist Drake for his team disloyalty after a picture of the two was retweeted by wrestling icon Hulk Hogan.

Hogan has come under fire recently for a supposed racist tirade heard in a sex tape and some soccer fans have taken to Twitter to troll the former WWE star by sending him pictures of footballers, pretending to be the people in the photos, and then claiming to support the wrestler during these difficult times.

For example, this fan uploaded a picture of Arsenal duo Jack Wilshire and Danny Welbeck.

It's mostly harmless fun, but one fan managed to get Ferdinand directly involved with the online trolling trend by tweeting a photo of Drake and the Manchester United star. Hogan, recognizing neither, mistakenly retweeted the picture that claimed to be the Twitter user with his father.

Ferdinand then took to Instagram to correct Hogan's mistake, uploading a picture of Drake repping multiple different Premier League teams' attire, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea. Ferdinand then wrote "My son's would never wear these kits ... Their loyal to #MUFC ...... (Drake) ain't mine."

My son's would never wear these kits... Their loyal to #MUFC ..... @champagnepapi ain't mine #HulkHogan ??

Isn't social media fun?
