A series of medical tests have revealed that Barcelona's Andres Iniesta is suffering from heavy bruising in the pelvic region. The attacking midfielder was injured in the second half of his side's 3-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
More specifically, Iniesta suffered a contusion of his sacroiliac joint after taking a knock to his lower back, an injury that forced him to exit the pitch on a stretcher in the 53rd minute.
No timeline was given for Iniesta's return, but supporters of the Catalan club can take some comfort in the fact that he did some specific work in training after the tests were completed.
