Lyon star Gourcuff to miss Marseille clash with thigh injury

Lyon - Lyon playmaker Yoann Gourcuff has broken down with a thigh injury and is ruled out of Sunday's top-of-the-table clash at Marseille, the club announced on Tuesday.

The former French player of the year, who has been plagued by a series of injuries throughout his career, came off during his side's 5-1 victory over Montpellier last Sunday that took Hubert Fournier's side back to the top of the table.

Lyon lead Paris Saint-Germain by one point and Marseille by four with 10 matches to play.
