Ancelotti confirms Bayern's summer transfer business is over

Carlo Ancelotti has drawn a line under Bayern Munich's transfer activity this summer, marking an end to speculation of Javier Hernandez joining from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Italian succeeded Pep Guardiola on July 1, but by then his splurges in the market were already completed with the acquisitions of Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund and ex-Benfica wonderkid Renato Sanches.

Now Leverkusen can rest easy with the fact that Ancelotti won't be chasing his former Real Madrid forward Chicharito, and Manchester City appears free to complete its chase for FC Schalke 04 starlet Leroy Sane.

"I have a lot of love for Chicharito," Ancelotti told media in Chicago. "He's a very serious professional and I had a very good relationship with him at Real Madrid.

"I think now that he's at Bayer Leverkusen, he's going to be a very strong opponent, but an opponent is what he is. I've got to consider him an adversary."

Bayern will first take on Leverkusen and Chicharito - who bagged 17 goals in 25 Bundesliga starts last term - on Nov. 26.

"As I've said, the team is good as we are - we are covered in every position," Ancelotti continued.

"I'm really happy with the players we have got - we've got a lot of quality. We don't need to buy other players because we have a good squad."

Der FCB kicks off the 2016-17 season in the DFL-Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on Aug. 14.
