Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois: Looks to bounce back from forgettable season
Courtois allowed 39 goals in 29 matches in all competitions last season.
Analysis:
Courtois was off to an inauspicious start before missing three months with a leg injury, and although he enjoyed some fine stretches of form after returning, Chelsea ultimately ended up with the 13th best defensive record in the Premier League en route to a 10th-place finish. Those types of returns were a far cry from the Courtois who led Chelsea to the top defensive ranking in the league during the 2014/15 title run, and with master tactician Antonio Conte taking the reins for the Blues, a much-improved showing can be expected during the upcoming campaign.
