Twitter destroys Brendan Rodgers as Celtic falls to Lincoln Red Imps
Life at Celtic got off to a rough start for former Liverpool gaffer Brendan Rodgers.
In his first competitive match in charge of the Scottish champion, many expected Celtic would make quick work of the Lincoln Red Imps FC from Gibraltar. Instead, the host grabbed a stunning lead just after half-time in the first leg of their tie in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, and held on for a 1-0 victory.
Needless to say, Celtic's surprising deficit triggered an avalanche of tweets mocking Rodgers and Celtic:
