The Montreal Alouettes have released linebacker Henoc Muamba after playing only four games with the team.
Muamba signed with the Als in September, posting 14 tackles and an interception.
A former first overall pick by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Muamba spent the 2014 campaign with the Indianapolis Colts before being released last summer.
Montreal is dealing with cap issues and Muamba was set to earn $235,000 this season.
