Despite a late Toronto surge, BC quarterback Jonathon Jennings led the charge in holding on to a razor sharp 27-25 victory.

Although he tossed up two interceptions, the Lions pivot threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-33 passing. He also rushed for a team-high 35 yards on five carries through the Argonauts' stingy defense.

Downfield, Jennings targeted Lavelle Hawkins, as the wide receiver pulled down six catches for 136 yards and a touchdown.

With the win, the Lions move two games up on the lowly Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Division, and two points better than the Montreal Alouettes, who are seeking a crossover spot.

For Toronto, the loss allowed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to clinch a home playoff game.

Argos quarterback Ricky Ray, making his first start in almost a year, completed 26-of-38 passes for 227 yards, one touchdown, and a late pick.

Next up, the Lions will look to grab the final spot in the West when they host the Calgary Stampeders, while the Argonauts look to improve their seeding in the East when Winnipeg comes to town next Friday.
