Ottawa RedBlacks quarterback Henry Burris remains one step ahead of Father Time.

The 40-year-old Burris tossed for 413 yards and marched his team 66 yards down the field in the closing moments of the fourth quarter to defeat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 27-20 on Saturday.

After falling down 10-0 in the first half, the Blue Bombers chipped away and eventually grabbed a 20-17 lead after quarterback Matt Nichols found slot back Nick Moore with a seven-yard touchdown pass.

Winnipeg's lead continued into the fourth, before a 46-yard field goal by Chris Milo tied it up at 20. Then, after a three-and-out by the Bombers, Burris dutifully marched his offense down the field with completions of 20 and 14 yards before scoring on a goal-line rush with 45 seconds left in the game.

Not to be overlooked, RedBlacks running back William Powell was also integral to the win, as he ran for 117 yards and a touchdown on the night.

The win pushes Ottawa into a tie with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for first in the East. The two teams will square off next Sunday at Tim Hortons Field.
