Alouettes turn to Cato in 1st meeting with Argonauts

Rookie quarterback Rakeem Cato will get the nod as the Montreal Alouettes try to snap the Toronto Argonauts' two-game winning streak.

Though the Argonauts cruised to a 30-10 win in preseason play, Montreal will look to play clean if it wants to hold its own against Trevor Harris and Co. Most notably, the defense will have to find its early-season stride this week.

After surrendering less than 30 points through the first 11 games of the season, the Alouettes have given up 33 and 39 in their last two games, forcing them into the cellar of the East Division.

The Argonauts, on the other hand, are winners of two in a row. Their Achilles' heel, though, has been the league-worst rushing offense. Toronto has only been able to rush for 68.4 yards per game, while Montreal's stingy defense has only given up 88 yards per game, good for fourth in the CFL.

Harris is coming off a huge game, where he threw five touchdown passes to five separate receivers in the victory Tuesday against Ottawa.
