Ottawa RedBlacks quarterback Henry Burris made history Thursday in a 39-17 rout of the Montreal Alouettes.

Early in the fourth quarter, the 40-year-old pivot completed his 45th pass of the game, breaking the CFL record for single-game completions. He also finished the day with 504 yards with two touchdown passes, as well as two rushing scores.

The previous record belonged to former Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo, who completed 44 passes in a 2008 game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Burris received a standing ovation from the fans at TD Place Stadium after setting the mark.

But while Burris was the story, wide receiver Brad Sinopoli had a career night of his own. The former Calgary Stampeder finished with a game-high seven receptions for 107 yards and a score.

Across the gridiron, Anthony Boone threw for 147 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick in the loss after replacing Rakeem Cato.
