Henry Burris was efficient in guiding his Ottawa RedBlacks to a 31-18 victory over the BC Lions on Sunday. Burris was 26-for-37 with 317 yards, while John Beck - starting in place of the injured Travis Lulay - struggled in his first CFL start, finishing 20-for-29 with 209 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Ottawa running back Jeremiah Johnson carried the load in the RedBlacks backfield, rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns. For the Lions, league-leading rusher Andrew Harris was a non-factor, totaling 3 yards on four carries and a fumble.

Ottawa (6-4) moves into a tie with the Toronto Argonauts for second place in the East with the victory. Both teams have 12 points, but Toronto has played an extra game. The Lions (4-6) remain tied with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for third place is the West, though BC has a game in hand.

It was the second time the RedBlacks have beaten the Lions this year, with Ottawa earning a 27-16 victory in Week 2.

Ottawa is on the road to face the last-place Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sept. 19, while BC travels to Calgary to take on the first-place Calgary Stampeders on Sept. 18.
