The top two teams in the CFL's West Division meet for the first time this season when the Calgary Stampeders host the Edmonton Eskimos in the Labour Day Classic at McMahon Stadium on Monday afternoon.

The Stampeders are the league's hottest team, riding a four-game win streak while boasting both the CFL's best record at 7-2, and a perfect 5-0 home mark. The Eskimos, sitting at 6-3, can grab a share of first place in the West with a win.

Edmonton has the league's best defense, allowing 165 points in nine games for an average of 18.3. The Stampeders' 190 points allowed ranks third in the league. Calgary is unbeaten in three divisional games this year.

It will be the first of two meetings in five days between the provincial rivals. The Eskimos host the Stampeders at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Saturday. The teams meet again for the final time in the regular season in Calgary on Oct. 10.

The Eskimos have lost seven of their last nine games against the Stampeders.

Monday's game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET.
